Reviewer's Take Index: what it means

Yeah, 2 thumbs one way or another is good. But we wanted to make sure everyone new exaclty how we felt.

Thus the Reviewer's Take Index....or RTI

The easy version is: The higher the number the better

The more detailed version is:

1. I might have to reconsider my friendship with anyone that likes this movie
2. You would have to pay me to watch it again, and in large sums
3. If I were in the hospital, on good meds, I might watch it
4. It would help alleviate boredom....or it might aggrivate it
5. My mind is numb with nuetrality
6. I would watch it, but wouldn't go out of my way too
7. "Ice cream you scream" man, that's a good movie
8. I'm like a hungry man on a Christmas ham, can't get enough
9. Liked it so much that I reenact it when no one is watching
10. I am sorry, but your life is NOT complete untill you watch this movie

The Dark Night - test review

MPAA Rating: PG-13

Reviewer: Luke

Quick Version:
Batman has had great success in Gotham, helping to decrease the crime rate. But just as he gets the bad guys on the a new terror emerges - giving dangerous strength to the underworld. Can Batman and his new ally the aspiring and motivated District Attorney stop the madness before it destroys Gotham?

Luke's two bits:
I love the Batman character, and was always a little disappointed when previous batman movies diminished the character with poor writing and poorer attempts at humor. They always seemed to be trying to lighten up this character that has always been meant to be somewhat of a shadow.
The Dark Knight, however does more the the development of the Batman character then any previous Batman movie.
And yes, as you have preciously heard, Heath Ledger's performance is incredible. As with Batman, previous performances of the Joker have been lacking. Ledger brings to the Joker the terrifying aspect that a super-villain should have. He is no longer so aloof character that posses no real danger to the viewer, but has become a real threat - someone that you could find in your living room, waiting to settle a deal with you.

Luke's Suggestion Rating: 9
Luke Netflix Rating: 5 stars

Additional notes:
Not for kids; I am sure that anyone who took their kid to this has been dealing with little Bobbie's nightmares ever since.
This is an intense movie, but the language and the the sex are very limited. However, there is a good amount of violence in it and some really creepy scenes.
